Why Crochet a Cozy Blanket Scarf?
This is a super warm a cosy scarf, it’s my go to crochet scarf when the temperature drops down to below zero, and I want to be warm!
Even though it’s made with only a Double Knit Yarn it is super warm, due to the close texture of the “crochet blanket stitch “.
This cozy scarf is a one size pattern, that is huge, and is very methodical.
Yarn for a Cozy Crochet Blanket Scarf
I went for a normal Acrylic DK yarn for this scarf. I wanted something warm, washable and budget friendly.
I love the colour combinations of mustard and grey and this yarn from Cygnet I can honestly say is the best “Mustard” on the market…. even if is is called Barley!
As this is a DK weight yarn, I used a 4mm hook.
You could easily make this scarf with a Worsted Weight yarn, and a 5.5mm (I) hook, but it would come put slightly bigger.

Crochet Blanket Stitch
Just look at that texture….. isn’t it amazing?
It’s so simple, yet looks so effective.

This is a beautiful scarf, and so good for proper cold weather.
It came as my crochet in the car project, and was surprisingly quick to make for a super snuggly scarf.

In a very rare occurrence, I managed to convince Mr Oth to take some pictures of me- rare because I really don’t actually like any photo of me so try to avoid being them at all costs, but I really wanted to show you this gorgeous scarf with it being actually worn!

So here you are, me, on a beautiful autumn day, (it was pretty warm in this scarf!)
