Here you can find the free crochet sloth pattern, that is a great little pattern that can be used for a brooch or an applique.
This is an easy pattern that is made using the amigurumi method.
I have written this pattern in both USA and UK terms.
Please pin it for later below.

Why a crochet sloth brooch?
My son adores sloths, I have multiple patterns for crochet sloths already, but I didn’t have a brooch – so I designed a crochet sloth brooch, that is the perfect size for a jacket, or a school bag.

What do you need to know to crochet a sloth applique?
This pattern using the amigurumi method. You only need to know how to:
- How to work in both sides of a chain
- USA Single Crochet, UK Double Crochet
- Fasten off weave in end.
- Sew together

Yarn for a crochet sloth
I also made this little crochet sloth brooch using Ricorumi DK, when this was originally designed and published in Simply Crochet Magazine
A 100% DK Cotton, 25g / 75m balls in Light Brown, Beige and Chocolate.
I have re- made this sloth using Hobbii Friends 8/6 cotton, a 100% cotton which comes in 50g balls and a 3.5mm which was gifted by Hobbii, in colours 10, 09, and 12.
This crochet brooch would work in Acrylic too, but I think it’s better in a 100% cotton yarn as it’s more hard-wearing and gives good stitch definition.
