Here you can learn how to crochet the bean stitch with a video and photo tutorial
This is a great crochet stitch to expand your crochet knowledge whilst adding some texture to the crochet you are working on.
How difficult is the Bean Stitch
The bean stitch is a combination of the movements that make up the double crochet stitch.
If you can make a US Double crochet you can crochet this stitch.
This stitch is double sided. You will need to check what side you are working on, and if you are using this other stitches.
One way the stitches will slant to the left, and the other side of the fabric to the right.
It is a little bit of a yarn eater, so bear this in mind when starting a crochet project.
The Bean Stitch should not be confused with the mini bean stitch. This stitch is a smaller quicker version (and I love this one too) of the bean stitch, but it gives the same texture and uses less yarn!
