Yay, my latest design is in the new Simply Crochet issue 82. It’s my forth for this great magazine now.
I had so much fun making this. Inspired by a Mary Poppins style bag, I was thinking about how I’d love to have a weekend bag made of crochet, rather than my slightly boring suitcase!
Queue a good old granny square, chunky yarn, and a huge hook.

But it needed to be waterproof too, this is where I have to say a huge thanks to Sewing guru herself Jane from GardeningWitch Designs. She makes the most amazing sewing project bags, and I called upon her skills to help me line this with waterproof fabric, and calico. She did an amazing job.
