This crochet hexagon blanket I am absolutely in love with.
Sometimes as a crochet designer you have an idea, and then just have to make it.
And this was one of those projects.
I knew I wanted to make it as soon as I came up with the idea and submitted the it to the commission call for Crochet Now – so I started it before I knew if it would be successful.

It was pretty well travelled yarn… Croatia and Abu Dhabi – even before I knew if I was going to be asked to make it.
But then I got the email saying they wanted to commission me to make the blanket – and it was such a good email to get!

Crochet Hexagon blanket – The HexiLove Blanket
and it only went and made the front cover of the magazine too!
Yep – spy the hexagons…….. thats my design!
This blanket is my absolute favourite things I’ve made so far, the yarn this uses is so so soft, and so easy to crochet with.
Fancy a different Hexagon blanket – Get the hexirainbow free pattern here
Whats the yarn?
It’s Stylecraft Bellisima and Bambino.
The same yarn – but they have different names depending on the colour option – as to whether its a baby colour – Bambino, or a “grown up” colour – Bellisima.
And the colours…… well…… scrummy!

It arrived and I started to crack on with it.

And about a hundred and 40 hexagons later…… a lot of ends,

a lot of sewing and a trip to the post office – I receive this picture!

Just look at the beautiful styling by Crochet Now, and how absolutely stunning my blanket looks!
