This posts will show you how to crochet the Front Post Double Crochet Stitch in a circle.

Azalea – or HOT PINK , this is the brightest pink yarn I have ever laid eyes on, it is brilliant!
So so so pink – brilliant hot pink!
2 balls of each colour, and 6 balls of pure.
2 balls of each Yarn A (Indigo 6505) Yarn B (Misty 6707) Yarn C (Peacock 6404) Yarn D (Amber 6909) Yarn E (Azalea 6606) Yarn F (Quartz 6202)
6 balls Yarn G (Pure 6208)
The Front Post Double Crochet (Or treble)
This week, we are back on circles, and using the FPDC or FPtr that we learnt for Amber last week, but on a circle – to give a great wheel effect.
So a combination of Misty and Amber = Azalea!

What you will need:
Scissors
Tension
Each finished square measures 21cm when blocked.
UK Terms
Ch (s) Chain / chain stitches
DC Double crochet
Dtr Double treble crochet
FPtr Front post treble crochet
HTr Half treble crochet
ML Magic Loop
Ss Slip Stitch
Tr Treble crochet (US double crochet)
Front post Double Crochet Circle – Azalea Square Make 8
With a 4.5mm hook and Yarn E, make a magic loop.
Round 1 Ch3 (counts as tr throughout), 11tr in the ring, ss to the top of the ch3. [12tr]
Round 2 Ch3, FPtr around the Ch3. (tr and FPtr in each st) 11 times. [12tr, 12 FPtr]
Round 3 Ch3 tr into stitch at base of ch, FPtr around previous FPtr. (2tr in next st, FPtr around previous FPtr) 11 times [24tr, 12FPtr]
Round 4 Ch3 tr into stitch at base of ch, tr in next st, FPtr around previous FPtr. (2tr in next st, tr in next st, FPtr) 11 times [36tr, 12FPtr]
Round 5 Ch3 tr into stitch at base of ch, tr in next 2 sts, FPtr around previous FPtr. (2tr in next st, tr in next 2 sts, FPtr) 11 times [48tr, 12FPtr]
Round 6 Ch3 tr into stitch at base of ch, tr in next 3 sts, FPtr around previous FPtr. (2tr in next st, tr in next 3 sts, FPtr) 11 times [60tr, 12FPtr]
Round 7 Ch3 tr into stitch at base of ch, tr in next 4 sts, FPtr around previous FPtr. (2tr in next st, tr in next 4 sts, FPtr) 11 times [72tr, 12FPtr]
Round 8 Ch3 tr into stitch at base of ch, tr in next 5 sts, FPtr around previous FPtr. (2tr in next st, tr in next 5 sts, FPtr) 11 times [84tr, 12FPtr]
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Change to a 4mm hook and Yarn G to work the first of the following sts in the first tr:
Round 9 *Dc in each of the next 19 sts, htr in next st, tr in next st (dtr, ch2, dtr) in next st, tr in next st, htr in next st: repeat from * 3 more times, ss to first st to join. [100 sts]
Round 10 Ch3 (counts as a tr), tr in each st around working (2tr, ch2, 2tr) in each ch-2 corner sp. [116sts]
Round 11 Ch3 (counts as a tr), tr in each st around working (2tr, ch2, 2tr) in each ch-2 corner sp. [132 sts]
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Week 5 completed.
48 squares all made, and almost ready to be crocheting together.
