It was only a matter of time before I had yet more ideas.
Today pink yarn was calling….. so a pig was made.
Lets keep things simple as always – crochet shouldn’t be difficult!
Pattern
Make a basic hat like this post – using light pink DK yarn (I used Stylecraft Special DK Candyfloss).
Ears – make 2
Using dark pink (Stylecraft Special DK Pale rose) , Chain 5, in the second chain from the hook make 1 sc, and continue to make 1 sc until the end. [4sc]
Row 2: Chain, 1, skip the first stitch, and make 1 sc in the next stitch, then 2sctog in the last 2 stitches. [3sc]
Row 3: Chain 1, 2 SC tog [2sc]
Row 4: Chain 1 1SC, fasten off. [1sc]
Row 5: Join light pink, and make 1 sc around around 2 sides of the triangle. Fasten off and weave in all ends apart from 1 on each ear for sewing.
Nose (Snout)
Make a magic loop, chain, 1, make 8 SC in the ring, pull tight and SS to the chain 1. Fasten off weave in ends (Apart from one for sewing)
Sew the ears onto the head, and the snout.
Using grey, add 2 french knots to the snout, and then 2 for the eyes.
Viola
A mini pig hat!
