Here you can find all my designs for the Big Knit – but they are crochet patterns! Novelty hats from Ducks to Sloths and Unicorns. Today we have a crochet big knit lamb hat pattern.
The inspiration came from a hat Repeat Crafter Me blogged about years and years ago, and I was asked to make some, but the difference between a baby hat, and a hat for a bottle is HUGE.
Maths at the ready, and some white (And then black – who on earth chooses to crochet in black yarn?) and grey wool, and my favourite stitch at the moment Bobble stitch in a hat.
If you want to save this crochet big knit hat lamb hat – please do so below

Lamb Ears

Outer ear, in white – make 2
CH8, 1HDC in 2nd chain from the hook, and then one in each chain back, making 2 in the last chain. Working back along the back half of the chain, make 1 HDC in each, including the last chain. SS to join.
Inner ear – grey – make 2
Ch6, 1SC in 1st chain from the hook, and then one in each chain back, making 2 sc in the last chain. Working back along the other half of the chain, make 1 sc in each, including the last chain. SS to join.

Use the ends to sew to the inner ear to the outer ear using your ends to save more sewing!

Pinch the ears at one end, and sew through the middle with the needle (Like above)
Sew to the hat, positioned slightly to the back of the head.
