I’m one lucky girl here. I was contacted by Cygnet yarns, a great UK company and asked to design some quick items with a new yarn they are launching.
I remember getting the email while sat in our local Ice Rink, watching my little people have their skating lessons.
Now, bear in mind it’s spring here, and it’s trying to get warmer, I can tell you I was freezing! Yep, an ice rink is pretty cold. so my thought process went to scarves, cowls, mittens, boot cuffs, anything that at that current time would make me warmer!

I suggested a few ideas, and then some yarn appeared in the post. And just look at this yarn.
It is so so soft!
I had 2 projects to make, and by the end of the morning, one was finished! Yep, and that was with some swatching too!
The beauty of swatching is that on a mini scale you see the design develop.
The lazy crocheter in my wanted to do two rows of stitches as you can see by the top of the swatch, but as soon as I did just one row – look at the stitch definition!
So – want to see what I designed for this lovely yarn?
A chenille cushion cover and a cowl.
