This post was originally written as part of the Geo-Boho CAL I ran in 2019. But it shows exactly how to crochet a circle – using Misty as an example (Geo-Boho CAL).

How did you all get on with your blue Solid Granny Squares? That blue right? Amazing!

Good, I hope?
You should have some amazing blue squares already for the blanket, 8 of them, but I’m sure you can catch up if you haven’t!
So week 2, and we are now going to learn about circles.
I need to mention this amazing yarn again – soft, shiny, and 100% acrylic (yay….. says the crocheter allergic to wool!)
This grey is such a subtle, but solid grey. It is amazing!

Cygnet Yarns Boho Spirit Solids (100% premium Acrylic 100g/ 240m)
2 balls of each Yarn A (Indigo 6505) Yarn B (Misty 6707) Yarn C (Peacock 6404) Yarn D (Amber 6909) Yarn E (Azalea 6606) Yarn F (Quartz 6202)
6 balls Yarn G (Pure 6208)

A basic circle to start you off.
What I love about circles is that they can be pretty daunting until you get head around how they are made – and then they just click (hopefully).

It’s all about increasing gradually – which I explain in the video – fancy subscribing to my channel – even better!
If you are more of a pattern person, keep reading!
How do we make a circle a square?
This again is a fantastic learning curve. We make a circle a square, but using the height of the stitches to help us.
Height of the stitches – what is she on about?
Basically the more times you yarn over at the beginning before going through the stitch the taller the stitch will be, and we use this to make triangles, which give the circle corners.
