Hello,
So a long long time ago, before the global pandemic really went crazy, I’d submitted some ideas to Crochet Now Magazine.
And they commissioned a few of them for the magazines summer editions.
You can find out all about the submission process to be a crochet designer here>>>

Roll on a few weeks and full on lockdown, meant magazine publishing wasn’t really a priority!
But my little designs still needed to be made, and sent off (I should add this is was last time I left the house apart from exercise – essentially posting the items off!)

The brief for this summery issue was zesty and fruity inspired.
There are some great wearable designs in this issue, and I’m loving the bright colours.
Take a sneaky peak inside issue 58 here.

So back onto what I designed for them……

Some Little Lemon Pot covers! Emoji inspired (my ten year old loves emojis), and super cute!
I adore the styling of this photo, the plants look like they could be hair!
What else can I say about these?
Well, they are made from cotton from Drops – the Paris range in vanilla and off white.
Then a fine Drops Muskat for the features – but you could easily use oddments of yarn.
Amounts wise – all 3 pot covers were made with 1 ball of vanilla and 1 ball of off white – with some left over!
As I type this – Wool warehouse has a sale on – and they are only 65p a ball!

If you want to get a copy fo the magazine – this can be done by ordering online from Craftstash – due to be published July 23rd 2020.
